Our Story
The story of Die Port van Cleve begins more than 150 years ago, with a young brewer named Gerard Heineken who met two clever businessmen, the Hulscher brothers. They had a great plan in mind, to open a beer house inside the brewery. After Heineken's approval, the Hulscher brothers embarked on this adventure and Die Port van Cleve was born....

We understand you may want to explore Amsterdam before your room is ready or after check-out. You're welcome to leave your luggage at reception. Early check-in or late check-out may also be arranged based on availability, for €15 per hour.
